April Showers and a new Dragon Thief Story

I tried to explain that old calendar song to my youngest a few days ago, and he couldn't have cared less, but we rolled into April with near constant rain, so I've been humming the song for the last week.

And to celebrate all that rain and the new plants popping up to cause my allergies trouble, I have a new book out. LOL. The second Dragon Thief book, THE CHICAGO JOB, is out now! Myra and Christopher's adventure continues! I hope readers are enjoying the start to this series, because I love writing in it, so there will be many more stories!

THE CHICAGO JOB
Dragon Thief Book 2

Saving a dragon can complicate a thief’s life…

One job for the dragon king. Myra had been obliged to do just one job to make up for the teeny, tiny mistake of breaking into the king’s hoard. Rescue his son. Restitution satisfied. Myra, clear and clean from one of the bigger mistakes of her life.

And since the son in question turned out to be a sexy dragon shifter named Christopher—not Chris—a shifter she wouldn’t mind getting to know better. The job… Not a total wash.

But still, just one job.

The dragon king has other ideas.

Myra doesn’t normally work for other people. She steals what she wants, when she wants, because she wants to. Her favorite marks…rich people who don’t even know their stuff is missing. But when a dragon king wants to hire you, and pay you a small fortune, to retrieve an old relic, what’s a thief to do? Having Christopher along for the ride, doesn’t hurt. Spending more time with him is almost worth the irritation of working for his father again.

Complicates things too, though. Myra likes interesting. Complicated worries her.

And her feelings for Christopher are getting complicated.

As a sign of how much I'm enjoying this series, I've even got some Dragon Thief merchandise on my store now! There will be more. I'm still getting started and learning the ropes with the merch, but there are a couple of things there to explore.

I've got a few bits up for the Joan of Kerry series, too! I love these. I definitely need to add a mug.

And of course there's Cary Redmond merch. But as I said, this is really just a start and I'll be adding more over time. So keep checking back at the store for good stuff!

~~

As I mentioned in the last post, the Kickstarter funded (THANK YOU!!) and so those electronic rewards will be going out this week. Print rewards will be going out in May.

For those of you who missed the Kickstarter, a reminder that the eBook of THE TROUBLE WITH SHIFTERS AND FAE COURTS will be available from my store in May. You can preorder it now and have it delivered directly to your BookFunnel app.

The book will be released wide, and the paperbacks will be released everywhere, in June. The eBook for wide stores is also up for preorder now! So all the ways of getting the newest Cary Redmond book are available to you!

Next month, as well as the new Cary Redmond releasing at my store, I'll also have a collection of mystery adventure-thrillers! This one is fun, most of the stories are a bit of action-adventury fun. And it's perfect for beach reading as we start to roll into summer (up here in the North. It would be a good reminder of summer to you Southern Hemisphere people *grin*).

More on all that next month.

Until then, Happy Reading!

The Trouble with Ghouls and Serial Killers...

Is that Cary Redmond has to deal with them.

Our intrepid heroine is back! In book two, she's officially entered her seventh year as a Protector and things are getting...interesting.

The book is out now in ebook, print, and large print editions (or it's supposed to be. The print editions are still propagating out to the various venders, but they'll be there soon!)

Large Print: Amazon |

Trouble Returns…

And Cary Redmond is once again up to her neck in it. When her supposed mate and possible boyfriend needs her help protecting shifter kids, she’s more than happy to dive in. Discovering ghouls behaving badly and a necromancer in need of protection launches her into the first mission of her seventh year as a Protector, a year she has to survive without help in order to come into her full powers.

But what with the serial killer on the loose, a mysterious wizard trying to kill her, a demon god, and a faery mentor acting really weird, who needs help, right?

It’s just a day in the life of a Protector, and another chance for Cary to keep all hell from breaking loose.

Again.

~~

If you're enjoying Cary's adventures and want to read more about her history before the series started, I have a few short stories out now with more on the way. Start with When Cary Met Jaxer. And look out for When Cary Met Marianne on February 11th!

Yay! The Day Has Arrived!!

Finally, after much technical difficulty and a delay, I'm able to bring you the second book in the Tiger Shifters series!

ALONG CAME A TIGER IS OUT NOW!

Currently, it's live at Amazon, All Romance eBooks, and Smashwords. I'll keep you updated on links to the other vendors as the book is distributed.

Never kill a human.

Daniel Borowski, Tracker and enforcer of tiger shifter law, faces an impossible choice when the woman he loves is set on breaking one of their people’s most fundamental rules—don’t kill humans. Daniel’s own sense of justice cries out for the life of the man who murdered one of their own, but killing him—especially in tiger form—is an automatic death sentence. Daniel loves Sarah too much to allow her to throw her life away for revenge. But preventing her from killing could cost him any chance at a future with her.

Her soul demands blood.

Sarah Chu never imagined losing her best friend so young and in such a gruesome way. Until then, she was focused on her career as a genetics researcher and trying to get pregnant during the Mate Run so she could be with the man she loves. After her friend’s murder, Sarah can think of little beyond ripping the man responsible to pieces. So when Daniel stops her from taking her revenge, anger and frustration make her lash out at him even as the chemistry between them roars through her. If she kills the human, she’ll sacrifice the life she imagined with Daniel. If she lets the human go, she’s not sure she’ll be able to live with herself.

Justice will come at a price.

To protect Sarah, Daniel will do whatever it takes, including finding another way to get justice. Even that might not be enough for her, though. But when the murderer comes after them, intend on torture and death, Daniel and Sarah will have to choose…destroy the killer or protect their own future. Because they can’t have both.

In the back of ALONG CAME A TIGER you'll find an excerpt for Book #3, HERE THERE BE TIGERS, which I hope will also wet your appetite for the next release this Fall! If you'd like to receive announcements of new releases, you can always sign up to my newsletter (link in the sidebar).

Thanks again for your patience with me on this second book. I think it was a test :) I hope you enjoy it. And thank you all for supporting the Tigers!

INTERVIEW: For a little more fun, I did an interview with Paulina at Dark Side of Romance. Stop in and see what I'd do if zombies took over the world!

Happy Reading!

Blurb, Excerpt and the Day is Almost Here!

I'm really starting to get excited about the release of ALONG CAME A TIGER (Tiger Shifters #2). We've officially moved the book on to the copyeditor. Almost there!

Here's the not-quite-official blurb. My editor is still having a go at this, so it might be tweaked (and/or rewritten *g*) before the book goes live.

I feel like it needs a da-da-daaaaa.....there.

I'm also posting an excerpt over at my blog. This might be tweaked a little in the final book too since this is taken from the pre-copyedited manuscript. Enjoy!

Watch this space (or join my newsletter--link in the sidebar) for the upcoming release! And for the curious, I'm going to start dropping a few hints about the next two books. Hint #1: The Chernikov brothers are about to make their first series appearances. They are yummy. You will be glad to see them. :)

Happy Reading!

COVER REVEAL!

I'm very excited to reveal both the title and the cover for Tiger Shifters #2!

But first, I just want to say, again, thank you so much to all of you who have taken a chance on the Tigers. I so appreciate your support. Thank you to everyone who has bought the book and a very sincere thank you to those of you who have posted reviews, good or bad, so that other readers can decide if this series is something they'd be interested in reading. Thank you!

Now, without further ado, here's the cover for Tiger Shifters #2 ALONG CAME A TIGER

Pretty, huh? *g* And yes, that's a white tiger in the background. Our hero shifts to a white tiger. More on the book--including an official blurb and an official release date--coming soon!

For those of you who are paying attention, the book is going to be released a little later than I hoped. After two months--literally!--of my boys and I trading off illnesses (first the oldest boy has a stomach flu, then the baby is sick, then I get sick just as the oldest gets hit with another stomach flu, then the husband gets sick, then the baby has an ear infection, then oldest boy throws up again... literally TWO MONTHS of this), I got the book to my editor late. The poor woman is soooo busy that we're still deep in edits to make sure the book is the best it can be. So the release will be delayed a little bit. Thank you for your patience! I promise to get it out as soon as it is as perfect as we can make it *g*

And I also promise to work in time for all these illnesses in the future :) (Kindergarten sends home way too many bugs!) As a little tease, Tiger Shifters #3 will be released this fall. And yes, illness time has been figured in to that release schedule *g* Thanks, everyone!

Happy Reading!
